Running for 1 mile at a moderate speed is equal to about 3 miles on a bicycle.
So you'd have to ride your bicycle for 3 miles to equal 1 mile of running.
This is mostly because when you're running your body and legs are always moving but when cycling your legs are not pedaling and moving all the time because sometimes you can let the bike coast without you needing to pedal.
So it takes more riding a bicycle to equal a mile than it does running in the same amount of time.
