I know how hard it is to raise a child and it's very hard not to scream at your child for some things.
Parenting is not easy work and I would say that although some parenting books and parenting websites advise not to yell at your kid sometimes it is absolutely needed to get the kid under control.
It's easy for someone to say not to yell at your kid but when your kid is out of control and yelling at you themselves sometimes yelling back and/or spanking them is the only way to keep your kid under control.
So by all means yell at the kid if needed to get them under control but first try to defuse the situation calmly before resorting to yelling at the kid.
Sometimes yelling at my kid is the only way to get them to do what they're told even though I hate yelling at them.
