The dangers of tap water come from the chlorine and other chemicals and even possible trace amounts of medicine.

Contaminants and chlorine in tap water can lead to kidney failure, kidney disease, cancer, dementia, bladder cancer, neurological disorders, reproductive problems and even gastrointestinal issues.

Well water is not as bad as tap water as long as the well water contains no bacteria.

If the well water is safe and bacteria free then the well water is actually better and healthier for you than tap water from the city.

City water contains chlorine and other chemicals which are not really healthy for you but well water contains no added chemicals and also contains many healthy minerals.

Well water is very sanitary and healthy to drink and use as long as it contains no bad bacteria and the well has been disinfected and kept tightly sealed with a sanitary well cap.

Wells open to the elements can allow bacteria to enter and make you sick but you can chlorinate the well to get rid of bacteria.

Most wells are safe to drink from as long as they remain sealed and are drilled deep enough such as 80 feet to 100 feet or so depending on your location.

Well water is healthier for you than city water as well water contains no chemicals or chlorine that city water contains.

Well water comes straight from the ground and contains healthy minerals that the body needs to be healthy.

City water goes through a treatment process and has added chemicals such as chlorine to disinfect the water and some city water actually is treated sewage water that gets recycled by going through a treatment process.

The city water can sometimes contain traces of medication that people have flushed down their toilet as well.

Well water is much healthier and safer and tastes better than city water.

The three problems with bottled water are.

Bottled water companies often draw out the maximum amount of water they want to regardless of water shortage or drought conditions.
Bottled water companies often have an impact on local economies because they pay little money for the water they take.
And bottled water companies harm the environment by depleting the aquifers and groundwater sources.

Most bottled water contains no chlorine although some brands of bottled water may contain around 4.0 mg/l of chlorine.

However tap water contains more chlorine than bottled water that contains chlorine.

Bottled water is better to drink than tap water especially if your tap water contains chlorine and is coming from a city water supply.

However if your tap water is coming from a private water well that is clean and healthy without bacteria then the tap water from the well would be better to drink as it contains more healthy minerals that are needed for optimal health.

But if your tap water is city water with other chemicals such as chlorine then the bottled water would be the better water to drink.

Most filtered water and bottled water does not have any chlorine in it as the chlorine is removed during the filtering and purification process.

Bottled water goes through filtering and other processes that remove chemicals and chlorine from the water before it is bottled.

Some bottled water comes from water wells and other bottled water comes from city water supplies that is filtered before being bottled.
