So many kids are not toilet trained as early as they used to be because of disposable diapers and because most times both parents are working and are too busy to have time to toilet train their kids.

It's very common now for kids as old as 5 to 6 to not be potty trained and still be in diapers.

In the days before disposable diapers most kids were toilet trained and out of diapers by age 18 months.

With cloth diapers the kid would feel wet and would want to get out of diapers quickly as cloth diapers were uncomfortable for them.

With disposable diapers now the kid does not feel wet and the kid is more comfortable in the disposable diaper so they don't feel the need to get out of diapers.

My 6 year old son wears Gentle Steps size 7 diapers for bed wetting and on long road trips and he says that they are comfortable.

In the morning I have to make him get changed out of the soaking wet diaper as he says he likes the feeling of the wet diaper.

Some days he wears diapers all day when at home and sometimes he even wants to wear a diaper to school and I let him when he wants.

He's potty trained but prefers to wear diapers some days.
