If you change a babies or toddlers diaper and wipe up poop without using gloves then you don't wash your hands really good after changing the diaper then you could pass the feces into your system through food when you eat.

But other than that you shouldn't get sick as long as you wash your hands with warm water using antibacterial soap.

If you're working in a daycare environment or are just changing another child's diaper then you should wear disposable gloves and you still need to wash both your hands and the child's hands after changing the diaper.

If you mean get sick to your stomach changing poop diapers then the answer is yes.

I tried changing my 2 year old nephews diaper after he pooped in it and had runny diarrhea one day when he was over at my house and it made me sick to my stomach.

I did throw up but not because of getting an illness or anything I just have a weak stomach and couldn't take the smell of the poop when trying to change his diaper.

When changing your own child's diaper you're unlikely to catch any illnesses unless the child has a known illness but you could catch some disease from someone else's child if they're sick with something through contact with feces so it's important to wear gloves when changing another child's diaper especially if they're not in your family.
