Cytomegalovirus is a genus of viruses in the order Herpesvirales, in the family Herpesviridae, in the subfamily Betaherpesvirinae.

Humans and other primates serve as natural hosts.

The 11 species in this genus include human betaherpesvirus 5, which is the species that infects humans

The most opportunistic infection after kidney transplant is Candidiasis which is a systemic fungal infection that is commonly encountered in renal transplant or kidney transplant recipients with the urinary tract being the site of origin in over 80 percent of the cases.

The disease after kidney transplant is persistent CKD mineral and bone disorder disease which complicates the treatment and evaluation of osteoporosis.

The virus in the blood after kidney transplant is BK virus which is common and usually not active in the body but can wake up and become active after a kidney transplant especially if you have a weakened immune system and it may even affect the new kidney.

A kidney transplant costs $260,000.00 without health insurance and sometimes more.

After you have a kidney transplant you'll also need to take anti rejection drugs which costs $17,000.00 per year.

The kidney transplant cost of $260,000.00 includes the kidney transplant itself as well as screening, post surgical care, the first 6 months of the drugs and pre kidney transplant screening as well as kidney donor matching.
