Overbite is not caused by pacifier use but prolonged pacifier use in babies once they start getting their teeth in can cause the babies teeth to become misaligned.

Pacifiers can also cause the child's teeth to grow outward and pacifier use after 2 years old can cause a child to have speech delays and other speech problems.
