The difference between a neurologist and a neuroscientist is that neurologists are practicing physicians or doctors that diagnose and treat neurological diseases and conditions in humans.

Neuroscientists are scientists that conduct research on patients and on laboratory animals such as mice and rats.

A neuroscientist is not a doctor although some neuroscientists become doctors and some even become brain surgeons.

However neuroscientists are basic scientists that may or may not have a degree in medicine.

Although neurologists have an undergraduate degree and 4 years of medical school and a year of internship.

Doctors do earn a lot of money although some doctors earn less than other doctors depending on the type of doctor they are.

U.S. doctors and physicians earn an average of $350,000.00 annually, and as high as $405,000.00 during their peak earning years of 40 to 55,

The highest paid doctor is a Radiologist.
