Trapped wind pain under your ribs is when you have trapped gas that builds up in your abdomen under your ribs which is a common condition that causes discomfort and pain in the abdomen and stomach.

The cause of wind pain or trapped gas in the digestive system is from build up of gas in the digestive system putting pressure on your stomach area and leads to gas and discomfort.

Gas pain is sometimes a sharp pain although gas pain can also be a dull ache in the abdomen and also cause pain or pressure or discomfort on the right or left side known as flank pain.

Gas can be trapped in your side for a few hours to a few days and most times the gas will eventually go away on it's own.

Most often trapped gas in your side or any part of the body goes away on it's own within a few hours.

You can get rid of trapped gas in your right side by drinking some apple cider vinegar, peppermint tea, applying a heating pad, exercising and massaging the abdomen.
