You can safely put cotton balls in your dogs ears during a bath.

Putting cotton balls in your dogs ears before a bath can help keep water out of the dogs ears during bath and also prevent ear infections in dogs.

Although it's important that you immediately remove the cotton balls from your dogs ears after the bath and also ensure that the dogs ear canal is thoroughly dry to prevent any buildup of moisture in the dogs ears.

To use cotton balls for your dogs ears during a bath start by gently placing the cotton ball in the opening of your dogs ear.

And be careful so that you don't pour water directly into the dogs ears during the bath.

And immediately after the dogs bath, remove the cotton balls and gently dry out the dogs outer ear using a soft, absorbent towel.

If any water remains in the dogs ear canal, you should carefully dry it using a clean cloth or even a cotton ball.

To prevent infections of the dogs ears you should also regularly clean the dogs ears using an ear cleaning solution for dogs ears.

And watch for any signs of ear infections in your dogs ears.

The signs of dog ear infections include swelling, redness and or discharge from and of the dogs ears.

Dogs that have long, floppy ears are often prone to moisture buildup and ear infections although any dogs can get the ear infections and moisture buildup.
