3 year old son just got potty trained by still wants to wear diapers?

It sounds like your 3 year old son is not actually ready to potty train even though he is peeing or pooping on the potty and wants to keep his diapers.

I think you should allow your 3 year old son to wear diapers when he wants or just let him go back to wearing diapers and using them instead of the toilet.

Your 3 year old son would be so much happier in diapers just like this little boy of around the same age.

Many 3 year olds and even 4 and 5 year old boys wear diapers and are not potty trained and that is okay.

Since your 3 year old son has just recently been potty trained he is still not used to not wearing the diapers.

Your 3 year old son has been wearing diapers for all the 3 years of his life so they are comfortable to him and is what he prefers to wear as he is very used to them.

It can feel different to your 3 year old son to not have a diaper on and can take some time to get used too.

You could allow him to wear diapers part time but still tell him that he should still use the toilet.

However if he is still wetting his pants and not wanting to use the toilet then he still may not be ready and you should return him to diapers until he is ready.

My son is 5 and will be 6 in March and is not potty trained yet which is okay.

He will potty train when he is ready and changing diapers is not that bad even on older kids.

My 5 year old son who will be 6 in March of 2024 is not potty trained and still wears diapers all the time which is okay.

My own 5 year old son who will be 6 in March is still wearing diapers full time and not potty trained and I'm okay with that.

He goes to school wearing his diapers which are the nearly plain white Gentle Steps size 7 diapers that are not really noticeable and nobody has noticed him in diapers.

His teachers don't even know about it and he holds off on pooping until he gets home.

The gentle steps size 7 diapers are very absorbent and it can hold his pee until he gets home for a diaper change.

He pees a little through the day and can actually hold it if he needs too.

He says he will give up diapers when he turns 7 but if not I'm also okay with that.

There is no harm in kids wearing diapers if they want too and it's healthier for them to just use a diaper instead of holding it and also the fact that many teachers won't allow kids to use the toilet when they need too.
