The vitamin that puts oxygen in the blood are B vitamins which include vitamin B1, vitamin B2, Vitamin B6 and vitamin B12.

Even niacin, biotin, folic acid and pantothenic acid increase oxygen in the blood and  help make energy and red blood cells which carry oxygen to the different parts of your body.

B vitamins can be found in foods such as fish, tuna fish, beef, pork and chicken.

Drinking water will also increase oxygen in the body because when you drink water your lungs will remain properly hydrated and in turn it improves the lungs ability to oxygenate and expel carbon dioxide.

As a result your oxygen saturation level in the body is improved.

Drinking 2 to 3 liters of water a day can improve your blood oxygen saturation level as much as 5 percent.

The symptoms of low oxygen levels are bluish color in the skin, lips and fingernails, confusion, wheezing, coughing, rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing and headache.

A normal oxygen level for anyone including the elderly is between 97 to 100 percent.

It is normal for oxygen levels to fluctuate although the oxygen levels should not drop too low or it can be dangerous and even deadly.

You should go to the hospital for low oxygen levels when your blood oxygen level falls to 88 percent or lower.

If your blood oxygen level drops below 92 percent you should contact your doctor as it can be a sign of hypoxia.

Low oxygen levels in old age can be caused by influenza, pneumonia, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, COPD and emphysema.

It is normal for oxygen levels to fluctuate such as during sleep, activity, walking, jogging etc.

If your oxygen level drops below 88 percent consistently then you should see your doctor about it as you may need oxygen therapy or oxygen treatment.

The most common cause of low blood oxygen levels are lung and heart conditions such as congestive heart failure or heart disease.

Certain medications and anxiety as well as stress can also cause low blood oxygen levels.

An 84 oxygen level is bad and is considered dangerously low and you should seek medical attention if you cannot get the oxygen level up through oxygen therapy.

When your blood oxygen levels are too low it can lead to bluish color in skin, lips and fingernails, confusion, wheezing, coughing, rapid hear rate, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath and headache and if the blood oxygen levels drop too low and get dangerously low it can lead brain damage and even death.

Your normal oxygen level should be between 95 percent to 100 percent.

When your oxygen level drops below 95 percent then it's considered low and can become dangerous.

A dangerously low oxygen level while sleeping is below 93 percent and when the oxygen level drops below 88 percent then it's more severe and more dangerous and you should seek prompt medical attention.

The symptoms of low oxygen levels are bluish color in skin, lips and fingernails, confusion, wheezing, coughing, rapid hear rate, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath and headache.

80 is a low oxygen level as when the oxygen level drops below 85 percent the severe lack of oxygen affects the brain and can cause vision changes and loss of consciousness.

When your oxygen level drops below 80 percent then the brain, live and other vital organs are affected and can lead to death.

A critical oxygen level is 88% or lower and you should get to the emergency room as soon as you can.

If you're using an at home oximeter and your oxygen saturation level is 92% or lower then you should call your doctor.

The normal oxygen saturation level for  adults is between 97 percent to 100 percent and older adults will usually have lower levels of oxygen when compared to younger adults.

If someone is older than 70 years of age then a normal oxygen level can be around 95%.

Low oxygen levels can be dangerous if the oxygen levels in your body get way too low.

The normal oxygen level reading should be between and in a range of 75 to 100 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg)

If your oxygen level drops slightly below that level then there's likely not a serious health issue and you likely have nothing to worry about.

But when your oxygen levels get way too low then it can cause serious health issues and may even cause death and brain damage.

If you think your oxygen levels are too low then you need to see a doctor or go to urgent care for treatment to get your oxygen levels back up.

You may need to use oxygen to breathe properly if your oxygen levels drop way too low or stay too low.
