An elderly persons diaper should be changed as often as needed at night which could be after 6 hours or sometimes an elderly person may not need a diaper change until they wake up.

If the elderly person or anyone else for that matter wears a good quality adult diaper that is very absorbent they should be able to go through the night comfortably in the same adult diaper.

During the day it's recommended that you change an elderly persons diaper every 2 to 3 hours like you would with a baby or toddler in diapers.

The best diapers for the elderly and seniors are Attends adult diapers, Northshore Megamax adult diapers, Tranquility premium overnight adult diapers, Tranquility ATN adult diapers, Prevail per fit, McKesson Ultra briefs, Depend Fit Flex, Brief Tena Stretch Ultra Tranquility Slimline and Tena as well as Assurance.

The percentage of adults that wear diapers is around 48 percent to 60 percent of adults.

Some adults wear diapers for urinary or bowel incontinence, some adults wear the adult diapers for convenience and some adults wear diapers because they love to wear them.

Even some teenagers and older kids wear diapers either for incontinence or because they love to wear them.

Adults or anyone else should wear diapers for incontinence as they can help prevent you from having wet pants which can be embarrassing and uncomfortable.

If you only pee a little then some incontinent pads may work for you but if you pee a lot with your incontinence then you should wear adult diapers and most preferably thicker plastic backed adult diapers instead of pull up adult diapers.

Adult diapers that tape on and not the pull up adult diaper pants are the most absorbent.

Pull up diapers are not very absorbent and tend to sag and only hold a small wetting and are not meant for heavy wetting or bowel movements.

If you're urinary or bowel incontinent and you pee a huge amount and don't just dribble or leak small amounts of urine then you should wear tape on adult diapers that are thick and very absorbent.

If you only leak a little pee and are not bowel incontinent then incontinent pads or even the pull up adult diapers can work but they can also leak and be uncomfortable.

I would recommend Nortshore Megamax adult tape on plastic diapers as it's what I wear when going on a plane or long road trip or when I will not be close to a toilet.

The pull ups I tried before and they leaked and felt uncomfortable.

Even Attends adult diapers that tape on are also good.

Thinner adult diapers and pull ups can be more discrete but they can also leak and not hold as much which can lead to pee soaked pants or even poopy pants.
