Seniors can get out of  bathtub by using handrails and by first turning to face the side of the bathtub and then gripping the edge of the bathtub for support.

Then lift one leg over the bathtub wall and onto the floor.

Next the senior can use their hands and legs to push themselves up to a standing position.

Non slip mats, grab bars and bath step stools can also help to make the process of getting out of the bathtub as a senior much easier.

Ensure that the bathroom floor is dry and free of any obstacles that the senior could trip on.

And then the senior can slightly shit their body towards the side of the bathtub that they want to exit from, while keeping your feet inside the bathtub.

The senior can then hold onto the edge of the tub or a grab bar for stability.

Then they can slowly lift one of their legs over the side of the bathtub and place it on the floor and then use their hands to help pull their leg over.

once the seniors foot is firmly on the floor, they can then push themselves up using their arms and legs, keeping a good hold on the edge or a grab bar for support.

Once they are in a standing position, they can step out of the bathtub using their remaining leg.

If the senior is still struggling to get in out of the bathtub then a walk in shower with a shower chair or even a walk in tub can be a better option.
