Murphy's oil soap is good for hardwood floors and is safe and effective at cleaning hardwood floors.
Just make sure you dilute the Murphy's oil soap before using it on the hardwood floor as it can leave a residue if not diluted.

You can also clean damaged hardwood floors by mixing 1 gallon of water with 1 cup of distilled white vinegar or 1/2 cup of cleaning vinegar.
The vinegar and water solution is safe and effective cleaning for most hardwood floors.
Then mop the hardwood floors as normal and scrub any cracks and crevices.
