Sulphuric acid does dissolve paper and even toilet paper as the sulphuric acid reacts with the cellulose in paper and breaks it down.

The liquid that can dissolve paper is hydrochloric acid which is also known as muriatic acid and is very strong and able to dissolve paper with ease.

Water can also dissolve certain types of paper.

The kind of paper that will dissolve in water is SmartSolve water soluble paper which is a bio based material made from Forest Steward Council sourced wood pulp fibers and a natural cellulose ingredient.

When the material comes into contact with water then the cellulose ingredient dissolves and then the wood pulp fibers separate and remain.

Paper is made of cellulose. Cellulose is insoluble in water.

Some tissue tissue papers disintegrate quickly in water.

But it does not dissolve fully.

Water soluble paper manufacture method adopts slurrying, hanging, vacuum dehydration, oven dry, calendaring technology.

The first step: net making paper, (1.5D * 4mm) slurrying becomes thin water-solubility vinylon fiber Fiber, wet papermaking becomes net, and through vacuum dehydration, oven dry makes.

Commercial paper is quite durable and often needs a muriatic acid, also known as hydrochloric acid, to completely disintegrate.
