What spread can babies have on toast?

I’ve been introducing different spreads to my baby recently, and honestly, mashed avocado and peanut butter have been big hits in our house! I love how easy they are to spread and how nutritious they are. I also tried a little bit of powdered whole milk  https://www.znaturalfoods.com/products/whole-milk-powder mixed into some mashed banana, and it worked surprisingly well as a spread—added a nice creaminess! My baby really enjoyed it. But I definitely agree with you about the buns; I’ve been super cautious about those, especially when it comes to the size of the pieces. It’s amazing how quickly they start managing those little bites though!

The spread that babies can have on toast is yogurt, nut butters, peanut butter, mashed avocado and hummus.

You can also top a baby's toast with some cream cheese or a mashed banana.

Other good toppings and spreads for toast for babies are unsalted butter, finely chopped fruits, Tahini, Almond butter and Sunflower butter.

Babies can also eat buns once they're 6 months of age or older.

Once the baby is eating solid foods they can eat buns but you should feed the baby soft buns and give them easily manageable pieces and always supervise the baby as the buns can be a choking hazard.

Before feeding your baby buns, be sure the baby has good head control and can sit up well.

And always cut the buns into very small and manageable pieces to lower the choking risk and feed them soft, lightly toasted buns or bread which can be easily mashed with the gums.

When feeding a baby food including baby food ensure that the food is not too hot as food that is hotter than 90 F is too hot for baby food.

Babies should be served warm food but not food that is too hot as it can burn the baby's mouth.

You can test the temperature of the baby food with a thermometer or the inside of your wrist before feeding your baby to ensure it's not too hot.

Lukewarm baby food is the ideal temperature for baby food.

After cooking any baby food you should allow it to cool down before feeding your baby.

If heating baby foods in a microwave it should not be heated longer than about 15 seconds.

And avoid microwaving any baby food meats, eggs or other high fat baby foods.

Baby food in a jar can be fed without heating or warming it up.

Even with baby formula if you heat it you want it to be lukewarm but not too hot as it can burn the baby.

Baby formula can also be fed cool without heating it.
