A bad ignition coil will cause an engine misfire, poor gas mileage, engine hesitation, rough idling, engine jerking, loss of engine power, and engine backfiring.

When an ignition coil is bad or failing it cannot produce the correct voltage to cause the correct spark for the engine to burn the gasoline properly.

An ignition coil if it fails could leave you stranded so do get it replaced.

You can take your vehicle to Autozone and they'll be able to tell which coil is causing a problem if it is.
