However it's okay for a female to also soak in a bath but it's best to shower first and clean off and then soak in the tub if you want too.
Showers are more hygienic for cleaning both men and women and baths are good for relaxation.
You can go a week without showering but you will often start to smell and if you go longer than a week and go months without showering your body will really start to smell and the skin can get rashes and other issues from not showering.
It's best to go no longer than a couple of days or 5 days at most without showering although some people can go a week without showering and be fine but it's best to shower more often than that.
However for proper and best hygiene you should shower at least twice a week or even daily or every few days.

After puberty hits, daily showering is essential due to new hormones flowing through the body bringing along unwanted body odor and acne.
Your child should also wash their face twice a day with a gentle noncomedogenic face wash.
By age 4 the child should be able to bathe themselves although you still want to be in the bathroom with them for safety and to ensure they are actually bathing and not just playing and or acting like they are bathing.
When your child can express their needs, understand instructions, and follow simple commands, it is a positive sign that they are ready to take on the responsibility of bathing independently.
By age 4 or 5, children often acquire the language skills necessary to comprehend and execute basic bathing routines.
