When your stomach is pulsating with no pain it's often a normal thing and most often caused by the pulse of your abdominal aorta which is the main artery that carries blood from your heart to your lower body.

In rare cases the stomach pulsating may be a symptom of an abdominal aortic aneurysm although most times it's nothing serious but if it continues you should see a doctor.

Having a pulsating sensation in your stomach with no pain is often caused by the pulse of your abdominal aorta which is a large artery that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body and runs through your abdomen.

Increased blood flow like when eating, during pregnancy or even when laying down can make the pulse become more noticeable and in some cases the pulsating sensation can be a sign of a more serious condition like an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Tummy spasming can be from muscle strain, gas, food sensitivities, dehydration and even digestive disorders such as IBS "irritable bowel syndrome".

Tummy spasms are also known as abdominal cramps and some tummy spasms or abdominal cramps are harmless and temporary but sometimes the tummy spasms or abdominal cramps can be more serious and should be seen by a doctor.

Being dehydrated, eating too much, alcohol consumption and even being on your period can lead to tummy spasms or abdominal cramps.

Other things such as bowel obstruction, perforation and even diverticulitis can lead to tummy spasms or abdominal cramps.

Colitis can also lead to tummy spasms or abdominal cramping and sometimes you may need some prescription medications to stop the tummy spasms or abdominal cramps and sometimes even a heating pad can help ease the abdominal cramps and tummy spams.

If the tummy spasms or abdominal cramps last longer than a week or get worse you should see a doctor.

Most times the tummy spasms or abdominal cramps go away within a day or a few days but some may last a bit longer.

Some other things you can do to help ease the stomach or tummy spasms and abdominal cramps are placing a hot water bottle or heated wheat bag on your abdomen, soaking in a warm bath, drinking plenty of water and reducing your intake of tea, coffee and alcohol which can make the pain worse.
