To get your 2 year old to pick up toys make it a fun game for them.
For example when having your 2 year old pick up toys you can help them some by having a race on who can pick up the most toys first.
I did this with my 2 year old son and we both got it all cleaned up and put away.
We had a race on who could pick up the toys the fastest and put them away and now at 3 years old he still loves to play the racing game with me on picking his toys up.
Have a toy box if possible to so your child can put their toys away in a good location and access them easily as well.
You can also play some music and have a clean up dance part and set a timer and see who can finish picking up the toys the fastest.
You could also say, I'll pick up all these toys and you can pick up the other toys.
It's okay if the 2 year old does not pick up all their toys as they will get them out again eventually but at night it's a good idea to have them picked up but if a few are left out it's not usually a big deal.
