Dihydrochloride is a chemical compound that is formed when an organic base reacts with two molecules of hydrochloric acid.

Dihydrochloride is commonly used in medications like Zyrtec, Reactine which is also known as cetirizine dihydrochloride and Xyzal also known as levocetirizine dihydrochloride.

Dihydrochloride is basically a salt that is formed by the reaction of a base with the two molecules of hydrochloric acid also known as HCI.

Examples of medications that Dihydrochloride are found in are Cetirizine Dihydrochloride which is a common antihistamine which is used for treating allergies such as skin rashes and hay fever.

Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride is another common antihistamine that uses Dihydrochloride and is used to treat allergies and is available as Xyzal.

And Histamine Dihydrochlorides are used in oncology, and most specifically for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia also known as AML.

Antihistamines such as levocetirizine and cetirizine work by blocking the effects of histamine in the body which is a substance that is released by your body during an allergic reaction.

Histamine Dihydrochloride also has potential antineoplastic and immunomodulatory activities and means that it can modulate your immune system and potentially combat cancer cells.
