Paracetamol is a pain killer and actually a common pain killer.

The painkiller paracetamol is commonly sold under the brand names of Tylenol, Ofirmev, FeverAll, Mapap, Tylophen, Pharbetol, Infant pain reliever, Children's Acetaminophen, Adult Acetaminophen, Acephen and even Mapap Arthritis Pain reliever.

You can buy Tylenol which is also known as paracetamol over the counter and some other brands of paracetamol over the counter although some may require a prescription.

Acetaminophen and paracetamol are actually the same medications and the only difference between acetaminophen and paracetamol is the names.

Both acetaminophen and paracetamol are both generic names for the chemical substance called para-acetylaminophenol.

And all three of these including acetaminophen, paracetamol and para-acetylaminophenol are known commonly by the trade name Tylenol which can be bought over the counter.

Paracetamol also known as acetaminophen or Tylenol is often used to treat mild to moderate pain and is safe for most people to take and side effects are rare.

You can also buy most types of paracetamol from most stores including Walmart and pharmacies.

And some types of paracetamol are only available by prescription.
