A bubble on your eyeball can be pinguecula or chemosis.

Pinguecula is a harmless, yellowish growth on your conjunctiva.

Chemosis is the swelling of your conjunctiva and is often a result of irritation, infection or allergies.

Pinguecula is often caused by prolonged eye irritation, exposure to UV light, wind and dust.

Pinguecula is often painless, although some people experience irritation.

Pinguecula does not often require any treatment and goes away on it's own, although eye drops or ointments can help with irritation and in rare cases surgery may be needed to treat the pinguecula.

Conjunctival chemosis is he swelling of the conjunctiva and can appear like a blister or fluid on the outer surface of your eye.

Conjunctival chemosis also causes a swollen, jelly like appearance of the white part of your eye.

The causes of conjunctival chemosis are allergies, infections which can be viral or bacteria infections, rubbing your eyes too much and eye surgery.

Swelling of the eye surface membranes, a blister like appearance, and a foreign body sensation are symptoms of conjunctival chemosis.

Treatment for conjunctival chemosis will depend on the cause.

However allergies that cause conjunctival chemosis are often treated with antihistamines, infections with antibiotics, or antiviral medications and irritation can be treated with eye drops or eye ointments.
