The 5 examples of phagocytic cells are osteoclasts, dendritic cells, monocytes, neutrophils and macrophages and are responsible for removing microorganisms and presenting antigens to lymphocytes to activate and adaptive immune response.

The most important phagocytic cells of the innate immunity are neutrophils which are the most common type of white blood cells in your bloodstream and are also among the first immune cells that defend against infections.
