A toddler should bathe at least as often as 2 to 3 times per week.
However if the toddler gets dirty or sweaty before then or they've been wearing bug spray, sunscreen or they've had a messy diaper, such as a blowout of poop or diarrhea then they should be bathed during those times.
If the toddler gets really dirty then they may need to be bathed daily if they get dirty or sweaty daily.
But if the toddler does not get really dirty or really sweaty and are otherwise pretty clean the toddler can go 2 to 3 days between taking a bath.
2 to 3 times a week of bathing is sufficient for most toddlers to maintain good hygiene and prevent skin irritation.
Bathing the toddler too frequently when they don't really need it can dry out their skin and strip the natural oils from their skin.
However while you may not be bathing your toddler everyday you should always wash their face, and genital area daily.
And if the toddler is wearing diapers you should be sure to change them often enough to prevent diaper rash.
Check the toddlers diaper every 2 to 3 hours and change if wet or change soon if poopy.
Leaving a diaper on too long that is dirty or wet can cause skin irritation and diaper rash.
When bathing your toddler you should never leave the toddler in the bathtub alone and not even for a second as they could drown, and try making the bathing fun and have bath toys for the toddler to play with which can make it easier for the toddler to want to bathe without fighting as much.
If your toddler has any skin sensitivity then you may need to adjust the frequency of the baths you give them and use gentler soaps and bathing products.
