You should not take albuterol when you're pregnant or trying to become pregnant are are allergic to albuterol or other similar medications, foods, dyes or preservatives or if you have thyroid disease or seizures.

You should also only take albuterol when you need to as a rescue medication and not for regular use to control the symptoms.

Too much albuterol can make the asthma worse and lead to more frequent asthma attacks.

It's considered overuse of albuterol when you use albuterol more than twice a week or use the entire albuterol canister within 1 month as albuterol is a quick relief medication.

Albuterol is intended to be for rescue or quick relief use which means it's meant to be used only when asthma or other breathing problems appear suddenly and is not meant for long term asthma or breathing problem control.

Using albuterol more than two times a week or using an entire albuterol inhaler up within a month is a sign of overuse of the albuterol.

The dangers of albuterol overuse are worsening of asthma, increased heart rate and increased blood pressure and even death in severe overdose cases of albuterol.

Overusing albuterol when you have asthma can make your asthma worse and lead to more frequent asthma attacks.

Albuterol overuse can also cause an irregular or rapid heartbeat and lead to high blood pressure.

Overuse of albuterol can also cause nervousness, shaking, nausea, headache, and or dizziness and can also lower potassium levels in your blood and lead to heart issues.

In rare cases overuse of albuterol may also cause paradoxical bronchospasm which causes a tightening of your airways instead of opening the airways.

Albuterol relaxes the lungs and is a bronchodilator which works by relaxing your muscles in your airways and makes it easier for you to breathe.

Albuterol relaxes the smooth muscles around your airways, which allows them to widen and makes it easier for air to flow in and out of your lungs.

Albuterol is commonly used in treating conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD, and asthma as well as preventing breathing problems that are caused by exercise.

Albuterol is inhaled through an inhaler or through a nebulizer although albuterol can also be taken as a liquid or tablet medication.
