You should drink a lot of water as in a normal amount of water per day with hydronephrosis but don't drink water excessively as it could make the hydronephrosis condition worse.

In some cases with hydronephrosis it may be needed to limited fluids.

Drinking enough water is important for kidney health and overall health but excessive water consumption can be bad.

The kidney can recover from hydronephrosis if you get prompt medical treatment although the severity of the hydronephrosis and the duration of the blockage will also determine the outcome.

However most people recover from hydronephrosis and don't have any permanent damage to their kidneys.

Hydronephrosis is not always life threatening although it can become a life threatening condition if left untreated.

Without prompt treatment hydronephrosis can become life threatening although most cases of hydronephrosis are mild to moderate and don't cause any serious health issues.

Hydronephrosis is swelling of the kidneys or kidney due to buildup of urine and can be serious if it's left untreated.

When hydronephrosis is left untreated it can lead to kidney damage or even kidney failure although it's often very treatable and resolves with prompt medical attention and medical care and treatment.

Hydronephrosis occurs when your urine backs up in your kidney, because the urine cannot drain properly and then causes the kidney to swell up.

The urine can back up in the kidney due to blockage in your urinary tract from tumors, kidney stones and other issues.

The complications that can occur from hydronephrosis include kidney damage, kidney failure, urinary tract infections and sepis.

Sepsis can result from untreated kidney infections including hydronephrosis and can spread to your bloodstream and when you get sepsis it requires prompt medical attention or it will become life threatening and can lead to death.

The buildup of urine can also increase your risk of developing urinary tract infections.

In severe cases of hydronephrosis that are left untreated it can lead to kidney failure which will require a kidney transplant or dialysis to keep you alive.

And prolonged and untreated hydronephrosis can lead to scarring even reduced kidney function and kidney damage.
