Using cloth diapers instead of disposable diapers when diapering your child or baby can save you some actual money as in $2,000.00 over the course of the time your child is in diapers and you can reuse those same diapers you bought for the second or even third baby or child.
But if you actually factor in the blood sweat and tears also known as work where you have to slave away cleaning the cloth diapers and preparing them for the baby then it's not really saving you anything.
During the time that you would be cleaning the cloth diapers you could likely be working at a job earning more than enough money to cover the cost of another months supply of diapers when working in one day depending on how much money per hour and day the job pays.
In my opinion I would rather work another job for a day to pay for some disposable diapers for my baby or toddler than to work scrubbing poop out of diapers and then washing them and waiting for them to dry and be ready for the baby.
You can buy really cheap disposable diapers today especially if you go with brands that don't have cartoons on the diapers.
Lets say you get paid $15.00 per hour at your job and you worked 8 hours in that day.
In 8 hours of working in a day you would make $120.00 in that day. Now how much money did you save by spending even a few hours cleaning cloth diapers?
You likely didn't even save $15.00 by cleaning those few cloth diapers.
It typically costs only $1.50 to $2.00 per day to diaper a baby using disposable diapers so you would still have $13.00 left in your pocket from that days work at the job where's if you stayed home cleaning cloth diapers then you wouldn't have made that $13.00
People are really fooling themselves thinking they're actually saving money by cloth diapering instead.
