When pet rabbits live outdoors they typically have a lifespan of around 8 years and if the pet rabbit lives indoors their lifespan seems to increase to up to 12 years in some cases.

Rabbits typically used to live around 4 to 5 years before some rabbits became domesticated and when they did become domesticated the rabbits lifespan increased a little bit.
