Zelle does not take credit cards.
In order to use Zelle you can enroll a Visa or Mastercard debit card with a U.S. based account.
However you cannot use Zelle with a debit card linked to international accounts or with prepaid cards or gift cards.
The Zelle payment app allows you to send money directly from your bank account to another persons bank account and to send money through Zelle you only need the recipient's email address or U.S. phone number.
Most payments made through Zelle are available within minutes if both the sender and the receiver are enrolled in Zelle.
Your details stay secure with your bank and are never visible to Zelle.
However, the downside to instant money transfers is that you may not be able to cancel transactions once they are made.
That's why you need to know and trust the person you're sending money to.
If Zelle is not allowing you to send money there may be an issue with the email address or mobile number they have enrolled with Zelle.
You may verify with the Recipient they have fully enrolled with the email address or mobile number you are trying to send money, and have opted into receive notification.
