When it's cold out and windy and the wind blows over our skin the wind takes away the heat from our body which makes our bodies feel much colder than it actually is.

Our bodies naturally produce heat but when the wind blows over our skin the natural heat is lost so quickly that we feel much colder than it is outside.

The heat loss from our skin because of the wind is caused by conduction which is the transfer of heat through direct contact.
