The reason you should not always flush the toilet after urinating is because it wastes water.

However flushing after urinating is what I always do because I don't like urine just sitting in the toilet as it will eventually start stinking.

But some people only flush when they urinate more than once especially if they are on water restrictions or on a well that is low yield or those who live in areas with expensive water bills.

Costco flushable wipes are really flushable although they don't break down as fast as regular toilet paper so they can potentially clog toilets and sewer pipes.

As long as your sewer system or septic system is in good shape and you only flush a few of the flushable wipes at a time then they should pose no issue.

When using flushable wipes you should use the flushable wipes after toilet paper to clean any excess poop residue leftover from the wiping with toilet paper.

Toilet paper can sometimes leave some poop leftover so using flushable wipes or wet wipes after toilet paper can clean you much better.

You can use flushable wipes or any other wipes including baby wipes after you pee.

Wiping with flushable wipes after you pee can remove leftover urine and prevent rashes and UTI infections.

Wiping with wipes after pooping can also remove more poop that could be leftover when you use just toilet paper.

Flushable wipes can take 20 minutes to 30 minutes to begin to dissolve although it can take a few hours or sometimes longer for the flushable wipes to fully dissolve and sometimes some flushable wipes never dissolve and are removed at the sewer treatment plant.

If you flush a non flushable wipe it could clog the toilet and sewer system especially if you have an older sewer system.

However I have flushed a non flushable wipe without any issue but my sewer system is in good shape with no issues.

Still it's best to throw the non flushable wipes in the trash to prevent a clog.

Non flushable wipes do not break down when in the water so they can snag on things inside the sewer system and clog it.

Flushable wipes break down although not as fast as toilet paper.

Wipes that are fine to flush are wipes that are designed to break down in water such as DUDE wipes, Charmin Flushable wipes or other flushable wipes.

Charmin flushable wipes are really flushable as long a you have a good sewer system and good plumbing and as long as you only flush one or two at a time.

Plumbers don't really like flushable wipes as they can clog sewer lines and toilets as they don't break up as good as toilet paper.

Even city's recommend you not flush flushable wipes as they can clog and mess up the city sewer systems as well.

The things that are so special about DUDE wipes is they are alcohol and paraben free and hypoallergenic and they are made with 99 percent water and plant based ingredients.

DUDE wipes are also larger than other wipes and are flushable.

The female equivalent of DUDE Wipes is Booty Wipes which are feminine flushable wipes.

Dude wipes are really flushable as dude wipes don't contain any synthetic additives like polyethylene or polypropylene.

The difference between a flushable product and one that isn't is the length of the fiber.

Flushable wipes have shorter fiber even though it is longer than what is used for toilet paper.

However if you have bad plumbing your sewer system is prone to clogs then it's best to avoid flushing dude wipes or other flushable wipes.

Dude wipes and flushable wipes don't break down as fast as toilet paper which can lead to clogs in older sewer systems or if you flush too many of them at a time.

I've even flushed regular baby wipes and paper towels but only do so one at a time and not all the time.

Flushable wipes can clog older sewer systems but with newer sewer systems it should pose no issue as long as you only flush one or two at a time.

Unlike baby wipes, DUDE Wipes are sewer- and septic-safe and begin to break down when flushed.

Designed for a clean, more refreshing feeling than toilet paper, the dude plush wet wipes are made with 99% water and plant-based ingredients, including Vitamin E and Aloe Vera.

Flushable wipes can clog your plumbing as well as create problems for the city's sewer system.

The reason is that they are not truly flushable.

They don't break down sufficiently like toilet paper does.

DUDE Wipes are 35% larger than the average flushable wet wipes, and they're unscented, with naturally soothing aloe vera and vitamin E to protect your sensitive sides.
