The reason Muslims bury teeth is because it's recommended that as a Muslim anything that is separated from a living person's body be buried.

It's in the belief of Muslims to bury teeth although whether or not to bury teeth as a Muslim depends on the teachings of the Imam that a person follows.

Some Muslims believe that burial of body parts is highly recommended although not compulsory.

In some Muslim communities like Christmas Island and the Cocos or Keeling Islands the teeth are buried before death.

Families of Muslims can also bury teeth in a special area of their garden or anywhere else in the community.

Burying teeth as a Muslim came from the habitual practice of many of the companions of the prophet and the early Muslims.

In Islamic interpretation of dreams, one's teeth fall without pain or a cause in the dream represents worthless deeds.

If the tooth fell because of a gum disease or it causes any pain in the dream, that means that the person is being forced to get something from one's house.

The choice to bury a tooth or not is related to the ruling of the particular Iman the individual follows.

There does not appear to be any ruling on where teeth should be buried.

Some families will have a special area of their garden where they bury teeth but others will bury them anywhere in the community.
