A hospital cannot turn away a woman in labor when they are in active labor as it's considered an emergency condition.

A hospital can turn you away though if you are not yet in labor or in danger of going into labor soon.

But if you are actively in labor and will deliver the baby soon then they must accept you into the hospital to give birth.

However you still may find a few hospitals that turn you away when in active labor but most hospitals will accept you due to a law they have to abide by.
