Pillow Protectors should be washed at least once per month to keep them clean and fresh.
The pillow itself also needs to be washed even with a pillow protector but you can wait to wash your pillow twice per year or every 6 months if you have a pillow protector on it.
You'll sleep much better if you have clean sheets and pillows on your bed so clean them often.
