Ultra rare disease is a disease that affects less than 1 in 50,000 people which means in the United States fewer than 7,000 people live with an ultra rare disease and some diseases are so rare that only a few people worldwide have them.

An example of an ultra rare disease is Ribose-5-Phosphate Isomerase (RPI) which is a crucial enzyme in a metabolic process in the human body and the condition can cause seizures, reduction of white matter in the brain and muscle stiffness.

The 10 bacterial diseases are Salmonella, E. coli, Whooping cough, Strep Throat, Meningitis, Sepsis, Cholera, Pneumonia, Tetanus and Tuberculosis.

Salmonella is a bacteria that causes foodborne illnesses.

E. coli is a bacteria that can also cause a foodborne illness and can also be in contaminated water.

Whooping cough also known as pertussis is a bacterial infection.

Strep throat is a bacterial infection that causes throat pain and is similar to sore throat but more severe.
