The types of infectious diseases are parasitic, fungal, bacterial and viral.

Viral infections are caused by virus which are smaller than bacteria.

Bacterial infections are caused by bacteria and can cause illnesses like tuberculosis, urinary tract infections, strep throat etc.

Fungal infections are caused by fungi which can also cause skin diseases such as athlete's foot and ringworm and can also infect the lungs or nervous system.

Parasitic infections are called by parasites which can be transmitted to humans from animal poop or through mosquito bites.

An example of a parasitic disease is Malaria.

Some serious illnesses are cancer, bone cancer, brain cancer, leukemia, breast cancer, heart disease, stroke, pneumonia, kidney disease, liver disease, COVID-19 and Meningococcal disease.

Some of the most common diseases are anemia, arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer, cerebrovascular disease, stroke, cholesterol, heart disease, hypertension, Alzheimer's disease, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, diabetes, digestive diseases, chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, kidney disease, allergies, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The type of disease that has no cure is HIV/AIDS and also Alkaptonuria, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

The most rare diseases are Mesothelioma, Hereditary colon cancer, Hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, muscular dystrophy, Huntington's disease, Cystic fibrosis, Alkaptonuria and RPI deficiency.

Ultra rare disease is a disease that affects less than 1 in 50,000 people which means in the United States fewer than 7,000 people live with an ultra rare disease and some diseases are so rare that only a few people worldwide have them.

An example of an ultra rare disease is Ribose-5-Phosphate Isomerase (RPI) which is a crucial enzyme in a metabolic process in the human body and the condition can cause seizures, reduction of white matter in the brain and muscle stiffness.

The 10 bacterial diseases are Salmonella, E. coli, Whooping cough, Strep Throat, Meningitis, Sepsis, Cholera, Pneumonia, Tetanus and Tuberculosis.

Salmonella is a bacteria that causes foodborne illnesses.

E. coli is a bacteria that can also cause a foodborne illness and can also be in contaminated water.

Whooping cough also known as pertussis is a bacterial infection.

Strep throat is a bacterial infection that causes throat pain and is similar to sore throat but more severe.

Meningitis is a bacterial infection which can be fatal within hours if not treated promptly.

Sepsis is a bacterial infection that occurs when bacteria enters your blood and rapidly grows.

Cholera is a disease that is caused by contaminated water and food and causes diarrhea, cramps and vomiting.

Pneumonia is a bacterial infection of the lungs that makes it difficult to breathe and causes fever, night chills, cough with phlegm and chest pain.

Tetanus is a life threatening disease that paralyzes your nervous system and muscles and gets into the body through a cut or such as stepping on a rusty nail or nail.

Tuberculosis is a bacterial disease that is airborne and affects the lungs and causes weight loss in some cases, night sweats and fever.
