How to remove a rubber boot stuck on spark plug?

I'm trying to replace the spark plugs on my car and all of the rubber boots on the spark plugs are stuck and won't come off.

I've tried twisting them and tugging on them but they won't budge?

How can I remove the spark plug wires when the rubber boots are stuck on the spark plugs?

They make a tool for removing stuck spark plug wire boots from spark plugs and it helps to remove some stubborn spark plug wire boots.

Although if that doesn't work and it doesn't all time and when it happens to me I have to take a utility knife and just cut the rubber boot off the spark plug and replace the spark plug wires.

Replacing the spark plug wires is a good thing to do anyway when you change out your spark plugs as old spark plug wires can cause poor engine performance.
