Foods you cannot eat with braces are corn on the cob, crunchy or hard vegetables, popcorn, potato chips, nuts, hard candy or sticky candy like gummy bears, gummy worms or laffy taffy.

The reason your teeth make a clicking sound with braces is because the teeth are moving and the braces are loosening up some which is normal.

The clicking or popping noises when wearing braces is normal and are an expected and good sign that the teeth are actively moving as they should.

The best way to sleep with braces on is to sleep on your back so that the contact between the mouth and braces is minimized.

If you sleep on your side that is okay as well but you should try to avoid putting pressure on the mouth and teeth.

The average time you wear braces is for between 16 months to 18 months.

Adults usually wear braces a bit longer than children and teens.

Braces work by applying constant pressure to your teeth and jaws in order to shift the position of the teeth.

The brackets that are fitted to your teeth secure an archwire that puts pressure on your teeth.

Over time this pressure then forces your crooked teeth to move into proper alignment.
