A bad crankshaft sensor can cause a host of problems such as an engine that is difficult to start or won't start at all, Rough Idling, engine Stalling, Engine Misfires, excessive fuel consumption and poor acceleration.

A bad crankshaft position sensor can also cause your vehicle to hesitate and sputter as well as cause your check engine light to come on.

Your engine could even stall completely and not start back up again if your crankshaft position sensor fails.
