You can die if your blood pressure gets too high too often and stays high and doesn't go back down to normal levels.
If your blood pressure is above 120 then it's high and if it gets to 157 it's even higher and getting dangerous but if your blood pressure gets as high as 180 then you need to seek medical attention because a blood pressure of 180 is dangerously high and can lead to a heart attack if the blood pressure doesn't go back down.
