Fire does not have a shadow as the fire emits heat and light instead if reflecting the light.

The thing that makes shadows move is the suns light that shines on the objects from different directions as the day goes on and because the earth is rotating.

Shadows are created with rays of light when the opaque object or material is placed in the path of those rays of light.

The opaque object does not allow the light to pass through it and instead the light rays go past the edges of the object and make the outline for the shadow to form.

A shadow is very fast and faster than the speed of light.

Shadows grow because the object blocks more of the light.

And the further away from the light source the object is the smaller the shadow will be.

The closer to the light source the object is the bigger the shadow will also be.

Not all objects form a shadow as only opaque and translucent objects create shadows.

Shadows are real as they occur with the blockage of light of an opaque object.

Shadows do move with us because a shadow is formed when the opaque object blocks the path of light.

So because we are opaque objects the shadow moves along with us as we block the path of light.
