Dogs should be taken out to pee 3 to 5 times per day.
Smaller dogs typically need to go outside to urinate more often than larger dogs.
It's best to get on a schedule and take your dog out during those times as long as you get your dog outside 3 to 5 times per day and even when you think your dog needs to pee take them outside so they can urinate.
