What rights do you have as a cosigner on a car?

If you cosigned the loan only then you have no rights to the vehicle or other loan.

Being a cosigner just means that the lender can go after the cosigner for the debt should the sole borrow default on the loan.

You only have a right to the vehicle or other things with a loan if your name is on what was bought with the loan.

If your name is on the car as well then you have rights to that vehicle but if not then you don't have any rights to the vehicle even though you cosigned the note.
