Skyrizi is self administered or you can have a doctor inject the Skyrizi if you prefer.

The self administered Skyrizi comes in prefilled Skyrizi syringes.

The doctor will teach you how to inject yourself properly with the Skyrizi which is a Skyrizi dose in 2 injections with the second dose or injection of Skyrizi being given straight after the first Skyrizi injection.

Skyrizi is safe when administered correctly and taken in the proper dosages.

However Skyrizi can increase risk of infection and or precipitate symptoms of infections that have been asymptomatic.

Skyrizi should not be taken by anyone with a current or suspected infection including those with tuberculosis.

Skyrizi was FDA approved on June 17th 2022.

The cost of Skyrizi with insurance is $987.00 to as much as $3,530.00 per dose depending on your insurance coverage.

Out of pocket cost for Skyrizi can be as much as $19,000.00 per dose.

Skyrizi, is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin 23A.

Risankizumab is part of a collaboration between Boehringer Ingelheim and AbbVie.

SKYRIZI is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with: moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who may benefit from taking injections or pills (systemic therapy) or treatment using ultraviolet or UV light (phototherapy).

For most people it takes around 16 weeks for Skyrizi to work and start clearing your skin.

So you have to be patient as it can vary and it won't clear your skin overnight but if you follow through with the Skyrizi treatments then within 16 weeks and sometimes sooner you should see the results of taking Skyrizi.

The cost of Skyrizi without insurance is around $16,548.00 for 1 kit.

If you need more than 1 kit of Skyrizi then the cost goes up so it's good to find health insurance that may pay for the Skyrizi.

Skyrizi is sometimes covered by some health insurance plans but not always.

For most people you'll need to pay out of pocket for the Skyrizi if you cannot get health insurance to pay for it.

If you do need to pay for the Skyrizi out of your own pocket then be prepared to pay at least $16,548.00 which is what cash paying customers pay without health insurance.

That is quite a bit of money so if you do not have the money you'll need to look for a health insurance company that will pay at least part of the Skyrizi cost or even all.

Some health insurance pays for the Skyrizi in full while others may only pay a portion of it and you then may have to pay a copay.
