Is it OK to leave my portable generator running all night when camping to keep the ac on?

I'm leaving out on a camping trip in a few days and am planning on boondocking such as at Walmart and other campsites that have no power.

I'm wondering is it OK to leave my portable generator running in the back of my truck all night to keep the air conditioner going in my camper trailer so I can stay cool?

It's gonna be hot and so I want to use my generator to keep cool.

As long as there's no quite rules at night where you're camping then it's okay to use the generator all night to keep the air conditioner going.

At a Walmart Parking lot or rest stop, truck stop or other very dispersed camping area it is okay to run the generator all night.

I've run my portable generator in the back of my truck at Walmart parking lots, truck stops, campgrounds that were dispersed and even rest areas and had no issues.

Just makes sure the exhaust is away from the camper to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.

I usually pull my truck at least 5 to 10 feet away from the camper and I have a longer RV extension cord in case I need to pull the truck further away.

I always keep my portable generator locked down in the truck bed to prevent theft as well.

If there's other campers around that are not using the generator then it would be best to just run the generator enough to cool the camper down and then shut it down if possible until the next day.

But if it's too hot then running the generator could be crucial.
