You can wear contacts 10 years after LASIK or even sooner.

With modern LASIK, the enhancement rate is 1-2 percent in the first 12 months and then about 1 percent a year after that as peoples' eyes can change with time.

So, for example, 10 years after LASIK, approximately 10 percent of patients may require an enhancement procedure to maintain their excellent vision.

You can have LASIK surgery twice if you need too although it's rare to need LASIK eye surgery done more than once.

The majority of people who have LASIK eye surgery enjoy lifetime lasting improved vision after just one LASIK eye surgery procedure.

LASIK eye surgery does last forever as the effects of LASIK are permanent, however the benefits of LASIK eye surgery can decrease as time goes by.

For most people the results of LASIK eye surgery will last their lifetime and around 10 to 12 percent of people nationwide will need an enhancement LASIK eye surgery because of any anatomical changes to the eyes or eye.

People who are not suitable for eye surgery are people on medications or have a disease that can affect wound healing or people who have autoimmune diseases, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, immunodeficiency, HIV and diabetes.

Also if you're on some medications such as steroids and retinoic acid which can prevent proper healing after a refractive procedure.

Although there is currently no age limit for older adults wanting LASIK surgery, there are some vision conditions affecting adults age 40 and above that can't be treated with this surgery.

These conditions are: Presbyopia or blurry near vision typically occurring around age 40. Cataracts or glaucoma.

The side effects of LASIK are possible vision loss or vision changes, regression, flap problems, Astigmatism, over corrections, under corrections if the laser removes too little tissue from the eye and you won't get the clearer vision you hoped for, dry eyes and double vision, halos and glare.

Your eyes and vision can get worse after LASIK and you may need to wear your glasses or contact lenses again.

The LASIK laser makes permanent changes to the shape of your cornea which cannot be reversed, although sometimes your vision may continue to change as you age and you might notice some changes to your vision over the years even if you have had Lasik eye surgery.

You can wear glasses after LASIK eye surgery or even contact lenses.

If your vision continues to change as your refractive error returns or changes then you may find that you need your glasses or contact lenses again.

After Lasik eye surgery you need to wear the sunglasses for at least the first week after the Lasik Eye Surgery as your eyes will be very sensitive for at least the first week after the Lasik Eye Surgery.

You also should still wear your sunglasses for at least a month or even 2 months after the Lasik eye surgery until your eyes fully adjust.

Also during the first night after the Lasik eye surgery you should wear your sunglasses to bed to prevent eye rubbing.

Since Lasik Eye Surgery has been introduced there have been no cases of anyone going blind from Lasik Eye Surgery.

However if the Lasik Eye Surgery was not done properly then it could be possible for you to go blind.

But that would be very unlikely as the Lasik Eye Surgeons have years of experience and years of study on it so the Lasik Eye Surgeon is certified and knows how to perform the Lasik Eye Surgery on your eyes without causing blindness.

The safest eye surgery is Lasik Eye Surgery.

Lasik Eye Surgery has been performed on thousands of people without any problems.

I myself have had Lasik eye surgery and had no complication as a result of the Lasik Eye Surgery.

After the Lasik Eye Surgery your eyesight might be temporarily blurry and so you may need someone to drive you home.

But within a few hours to 24 hours after the Lasik Eye Surgery your eyesight should return to normal and also better than it was before.

During laser eye surgery you need to be awake so that your eyes can be opened.

You just have to lay still and the eye surgeon may apply some numbing agent to your eye lids but for the most part of the laser eye surgery you're awake.

I had laser eye surgery and was awake the whole time.

It really is nothing to worry about and I felt no pain during the laser eye surgery and it helped correct my vision.

For eye surgery you are usually awake the whole time.

Although sometimes the eye surgeon may give you a topical numbing agent that makes it so that you do not feel anything going on when they are doing the eye surgery.

My father had eye surgery and he was awake the whole time.

He said he did not feel a thing while they were doing the eye surgery on him.

He was worried about it at first but he said it was after all nothing to worry about.

He just had to lay still for the eye surgery and the eye surgeon applied some topical numbing agent to his eye lids so he would not feel any pain.

Eye surgery is pretty safe and for most eye surgeries the patient needs to be awake.

Going blind from Lasik eye surgery is possible but very unlikely.

You have a 99.9 percent chance of coming out of the Lasik eye surgery without any complications or blindness.
