You can soften hard socks by adding a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda and some vinegar to the washing machine.

The vinegar and bicarbonate of soda will soften the socks and other laundry and also get them clean.

Socks go hard after one wash when too much detergent is used or too much fabric softener is used or if the socks were not properly rinsed.

Hard water can also cause socks to go hard after one wash as well.

If detergent and fabric softener are not fully rinsed out of the socks it can leave residue behind which makes the socks fabric sticky and stiff.

Socks can become hard after washing due to use of too much soap that leaves residue on the socks.

Also sweat which crystalizes when it dries can make socks hard as sweat contains socks and some of that sweat may still be in the socks.

You should wash the socks and then rinse them in a lot of water to remove salt and other remaining chemicals to help keep them from becoming hard.

You should always wash socks in hot water as the hot water helps to kill bacteria that is harbored on socks.

The same is true for underwear or panties they should always be washed in hot water to get rid of bacteria.

To make your dingy socks white again simply pour a cup of hydrogen peroxide into the washing machine and allow the dingy socks to soak for 30 minutes to an hour and then wash them in the hydrogen peroxide solution.

To make your dingy whites white again you can wash the dingy whites with hydrogen peroxide which is how hotels keep their linens white by using hydrogen peroxide based laundry detergent.

You can add one cup of hydrogen peroxide to the dingy whites in your washing machine to brighten them up.

You can also add a cup of hydrogen peroxide to a load of cloth diapers to also disinfect, deodorize and whiten them.

Hotels keep their towels white by washing their towels using peroxide based laundry detergent which keeps the sheets and towels white and bright.

Peroxide based laundry detergent and peroxide in general helps to keep towels and sheets white and prevents white linens or white towels from going yellow or grey.

However if used incorrectly they can damage the linens.

To revive old towels you can wash the towels in hot water and a cup of vinegar which will help to soften the towels.

Wash the towels a second time without drying them in hot water and a cup of baking soda and then dry the towels but avoid use of fabric softener as it builds up on the towels and reduces softness.

Your towels can become hard after washing due to build up of soap residue and when they are over dried.

To prevent your towels from becoming hard after washing them you should use less detergent, wash the towels in warm water and use vinegar.

Also using baking soda in the washing machine can help to soften towels when washing them.

When salt is added to laundry the salt stops the dark colors from bleeding into other clothing and the salt also will act as a powerful stain remover which helps remove stubborn stains.

Vinegar can also be used in laundry to help naturally clean clothes and remove some stains as well.

You should not add vinegar and laundry detergent together as mixing together laundry detergent and vinegar decreases the cleaning performance of the laundry detergent.

You should add the vinegar to the rinse cycle after the laundry detergent is out or it can lead to oily clothes if you mix the vinegar and laundry detergent together.

Vinegar can also be used to clean your washing machine.

You can run some vinegar or vinegar and baking soda through your washing machine to clean it.

The vinegar that is best for cleaning washing machines is distilled white vinegar.

To clean your washing machine with distilled white vinegar measure out two cups of distilled white vinegar and pour them directly into your washing machine's liquid detergent dispenser.

It is OK to put vinegar in washing machines.

Vinegar is safe for washing machines and vinegar can be used to clean washing machines as well as naturally clean clothes and other laundry as well.

You can also use vinegar and baking soda in the washing machine as well to clean laundry, clothes or even the washing machine itself.

Vinegar is not bad for washing machines.

Vinegar is safe for use in washing machines and it's a good way to clean the washing machine as well as good for cleaning clothes.

Vinegar makes a good natural cleaning solution for clothes when you have no detergent.
