To get rid of carpet beetles sprinkle boric acid on your carpets, furniture etc and let it sit for awhile as in an hour or 2 to kill the carpet beetles and then vacuum the carpets and upholstery and steam cleaning the carpet and upholstery is also a good idea for getting rid of the carpet beetles.
